The Beast is back in Forfar again!

After two enjoyable days of curling at Perth Ice Rink the Forfar Rotary Curling team emerged victorious in the Scottish finals against teams representing the Rotary Clubs of Ayr, Leith, and Perth. The Forfar team will now represent Scotland at the Rotary World Curling Championship which take place in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada in April 2016.  This Bi annual competition is contested by teams representing America, Canada and of course Scotland.

Forfar have now won the trophy for a record 9th time and as far as Forfar Rotarians can remember the competition goes back to 1956. However after a bit of searching it has been recorded as having been won in 1948/49 by the Rotary Club of Strathaven.
