A Toast to Forfar Rotary

The last recipients of this years share of money from the Santa Sleigh collection raised a glass to Forfar Rotary when each of them were rewarded for their assistance with a cheque for each of £200.

This initiative run by Forfar Rotary, took over this community service project when The Round Table ceased due to lack of membership and it could not have been done on such a large scale without outside help. As it has developed, outside clubs and organisations have seen the rewards from a nights work contribute financially to each of their organisations.

President Scott Ballantyne commented, it is also good for the town of Forfar to see the money the public donated, being used in the town and that it is wide spread in its use by the diversity of the organisations who contributed with their time.

Junior rugby, nursery groups, the Forfar pipe band and school parent groups etc. are typical of those who ultimately benefitted.
