A report from Rotarian Tim Hale.

Arrived home safely on Friday evening, it's good to be home.

I attended the 7th June lunchtime meeting of the Rotary Club of Makati in the Manila Peninsular Hotel, Makati.

This is the biggest Rotary club in the Philippines with 167 members it is probably one of the wealthiest Rotary clubs as it has an annual income of $12 million, this income is from two large industrial estates, these were originally US bases and when the US left, they gave them to the Rotary club to do with what they wanted.
I was made very welcome at the lunch, it was their annual prize giving lunch and went on for 31/2 hrs with Roast suckling pig, wine and
champers, mine host at the Stag need to try harder lol
