Rising Youngstars

Forfar Rotary Club welcomed Fiona Retalic when she attended their meeting this week. Fiona was there to give the Rotarians an insight to the role she plays with "The Rising Youngstars". Those not familiar with this youth group would be surprised at the amount of young talent we have in our midst.

Coaching young talent and making them aware of their potential to perform on the stage is a great way of giving them confidence as well as possibly going on to fulfil their dreams.

Its not only Acting, Dancing and Singing but learning about Production, creating Scenery, Lighting etc. Now more than ever a good singer will, given good backing and quality sound systems will enthral their audience.

Some ex pupils have gone on to study and qualify in aspects of the theatre so the work of dedicated adults to "put on a Show" is proof that it is a project worth supporting. To this end Forfar Rotary President Bill Reid presented Fiona with a cheque for £300.
