Robin goes International
Fresh from his trip to New Zealand, Past President gave a report on his visit to a Rotary Club in NewZealand.
The members of Aparima Rotary Club, New Zealand wished a photo of them given to our club on my return this has been added to the report for inclusion on the website and our Facebook Page.
The Club was chartered in 2011 - There are 18 members of which 9 are ladies.
I gave greetings from Forfar presenting them with our new banner. President Nola Gill and members thanked me for visiting them as I was their first 'Overseas Visitor '. Nola on behalf of the club sends their greetings.
The club is in District 988 - Having 30 Clubs stretching from South of Christchurch to Stewart Island a length of approx 300 - miles similar to our own district. Poised on the south coast of Southland, Riverton (also known as Aparima) is an eclectic and quirky town surrounded by stunning natural beauty.
The projects they get up to are ' Organizing 'A Christmas Street Party' Building Beach Barbecues and providing A Beach Book Library '.
