Nepal Appeal

The plight of the Nepalese people who have suffered further trauma due to the unstable landscape caused by the earth tremors has prompted the Forfar Rotary Club to provide more support. The support this time will be in the provision of two SHELTERBOXES to be paid for from the Club's charitable fund.. At a cost of around £550 / £600 each it was felt that this was a quick way of getting much needed relief out to the region.

Press coverage suggests that aid is being held back and not all the money donated gets to the regions fast enough but within Rotary it is a safe way to make sure all donations and provisions get to the heart of the problem. President Alan Cairns praised the club for its response to the International crisis and although it may seem a small part in the overall situation in Nepal it is a worthy cause where every bit if assistance is needed to alleviate further suffering.
