Rotarians at the club are deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of Rotarian Bill Doig.
A member who for all his years of service to Rotary was one of the most patient and modest people most of us had the honour of knowing. Bill was given many honours and most years, carried off the "good attendence award" with almost perfect attendences over many years. Bill was president of the club in 1962/63 and as well as long service awards was especially proud of his Paul Harris Fellowship as well as his Honorary Club Membership, both given in recognition of the high esteem in which he was held.
Although not able to attend in recent times he was always interested in what was happening in the club. He will be sadly missed by all who had the good fortune to have met him.
