Bill McLaren

The sad news has been passed on to the club that Bill McLaren died suddenly earlier this morning the 22nd October

Bill, a master baker and true local worthy, joined the Club in 1988. He was always very active within the Club despite being also heavily involved with the Dundee Incorporated Trades. Bill was without exception, always cheerful and friendly despite the long and unsocial hours he would have been working.

We remember with fondness the reviving supply of still warm bridies for the volunteers at Glamis Extravaganza. 

Older members will remember enjoyable nights at Dundee Airport when Bill, then a qualified pilot, would organise flights for groups of us.

Our thoughts must be with Alison and the rest of the family at this difficult time.
