Rotary at Work and Play

Forfar Rotary - Working, Caring and Sharing.

A delighted Robin Wardhaugh in his first month as President pays tribute to the members of Forfar Rotary and its raft of various enterprises. Not only do we raise money but we also work for in by supporting others as well as providing cash to needy causes.

The Angus Young Carers at Ullswater in the Lake District where the Rotary Clubs of Angus co- funded a week long residential course providing the Carers with an exciting week, free to enjoy each others company. A much overlooked group of people having fun away from their caring role.

A weekend manning the pay-in entrances at the Glamis Extravaganza was yet another time away from family greeting the spectators with a cheery bit of banter shows the working side of Rotary earning money to boost the charitable account so that funding can be provided to both local and international causes to the needy and or deserving cries for help.

Not afraid to get down and get dirty has been yet another side to the work of Forfar Rotary and as well as giving finacial support the club has provided manual labour and skills assisting with the civil engineering planning to build the walls for the raised beds out of donated wooden sleepers. The Therapy Garden Project the brainchild of Forfar Open Garden Scheme is the project to create a theraputic garden at Lochside Road
