A Garden Party

Immediate Past President Alan Cairns and his wife Pam have been invited to represent The Rotary Club of Forfar at this year's Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse

The invite is in recognition of the large amount of money raised by the Club, through its bi-annual Marafun event with the Ninewells Cancer Appeal.being the main beneficiary.

Marafun has helped raise money to support local Forfar charities as well as raising over £160,000 for the Jackie Wood Centre at Ninewells Hospital.

Marafun was started back in 2002 by Jimmy Nicoll. The success of this first event led it to become a regular Rotary Club event. Jimmy led the first Marafuns and succeeding events have been enthusiastically led by Tim Hale and David Valentine.
