Riding for the Disabled

Forfar Rotary continued with its policy of assisting with funding when they presented Forbes Inglis with a cheque for £250 at its weekly meeting. Forbes gave a witty yet thought provoking talk about the facility at Bottymire just outside Forfar and outlined the aims of RDA. Providing a pony might seem easy but when you consider the cost of also providing inside facilities for the riders as well as the stabling etc.for the ponies then it doen't come cheap. However the benefits for the children who otherwise would not have the chance to see, never mind ride a pony are self evident for those involved in providing the service which is always on the look put for those who can volunteer their services.
