LOCAL CURLING HERO AT FORFAR ROTARY CLUB

Greg Drummond, a member of the GB curling team at the Sochi Olympics, was Forfar Rotary’s special guest at a well-attended Partners Evening held at Forfar Golf Club on Wednesday, 20th August. He gave an interesting and upbeat talk on his career and especially on his silver medal success at the Games. Greg emphasised his full determination to go on to bring further successes to his Scotland/GB team.

President Alan Cairns gave the vote of thanks and presented Greg with a Paul Harris Medal from the Club. This is an award which a Rotary Club can give to an individual for reaching high personal and professional standards and is only the second to be given by the Forfar Club to a non-Rotarian.
