It was a thumbs up in support for Forfar Rotary when more cheques were handed over by President Scott Ballantyne. The representatives from four more organisations who assisted the Rotary Club on the Santa Sleigh collection each received a £200.00 cheque for their efforts.
Gail Adam of Forfar Sailing Club, Bob Baldie from Forfar Academy, Caitlin Adam from Angus Young Engineers and Denise Black of Stepping Stones Playgroup all expressed their thanks and especially to Sandy Ogilvie for his organisational skills and execution of the complete programme.
President Scott was delighted to hear that many of the clubs, organisations are now seriously considering entering teams into the Angus Marafun on 25th of May thereby contributing to the Bi-annual event as well as raising yet more funds for Rotary and themselves.
This is what Rotary in the Community see as their role, raising the profile of Rotary and providing the means of self help for those public spirited concerns.
