This week saw President Tim Hale of Forfar Rotary Club visit the local Forfar branch of Tesco. His mission was to present the store and their customers with a certificate congratulating them on raising £785.56 from the donations placed in the Wishingwell over a six month period. Forfar Rotary has a long time belief that the townsfolk have always given generously to requests to their fund raising because they are confident that all the proceeds are used to good effect both locally and internationally. Although the wishingwell is no longer in the store it is hoped that permission will be given to resite back there in the future. Parents and children tell us they miss it and in the meantime another suitable location is being sought elsewhere in the town. Loose change can make all the difference and even the kiddies pennies all add up.
