Help for Primary Education

HOME LEARNING COURTESY OF FORFAR ROTARY

During the current Covid pandemic many primary school children are having their education disrupted and as a result, have to learn on line. Some children who do not have the benefit of the necessary IT equipment at home are disadvantaged as a consequence.

FORFAR ROTARY CLUB in conjunction with COMPUTERDEN has embarked on a project to provide refurbished laptops to Schools in the Forfar area, so that children who are disadvantaged or self isolating have access to on-line teaching, either at home or in school.

We are appealing to individuals and business owners to donate any laptops and tablets no longer used and may just be gathering dust. Rotarians are at pains to stress that all existing data will be completely wiped so that they will be be safe for school work. The refurbished laptops will then ready to start a new life, being put to good use by local primary school children, learning online at home or in class.

So if any local residents or organisations have serviceable laptops that are no longer needed and would like to donate them for us to refurbish and distribute to needy children and schools please contact us on either www.forfarrotary.org.uk or ( 07835013095 )

You can also leave your donation at Richardsons Paper Shop in West High Street or if you wish we can collect it from you. Just call Rotarian Tim on the mobile number.

If you want to contribute financially then you can do so from the website and use our Just Giving Site.
