Forfar Rotary Visits Redcastle.

Redcastle Gin has been created by the partnership of Fiona Walsh, who brings a wealth of drinks industry expertise, and John Anderson, founder of Redcastle Brewery. Collectively, they have a passion and enthusiasm for creating authentic great tasting products. Redcastle Scottish Gin is the first addition to the Redcastle Spirits family.

Now, not even the Rotary Club of Forfar could resist a visit to tour the Brewery and Distillery and so spent a very informative evening talk, detailing the lengths Redcastle go to to produce their products. Crafted beer and a series of fine gins including the Redcastle Gin that has risen to the challenge and secured third place from The Scottish Gins Awards.

Everyone at Redcastle HQ is absolutely thrilled with the news that their amazing Spiced Rum has now been awarded 2 stars as part of the Great Taste awards 2019.

“It is a blend of our own Angus distilled rum with 3 year old cask aged Jamaican rum, which results in a heavenly and indulgent spiced rum, with notes of vanilla and citrus.”

Of course all this talking produced a thirst and so Forfar Rotarians were happy to oblige with a wee sample or two with beers and gins because as you know the proof is in the drinking. You could say it was a happy night ( drivers apart) for those who attended.
