RICHARD WATT A NEW ROTARIAN.

Forfar Rotary President Doug McFarlane had the pleasant duty of inducting Richard Watt as a member of the Club. This was a rare but most welcome occasion as encouraging new members has been a priority for sometime. After a chat with his sponsor, Rotarian Ian Findlay and learning more about Rotary he was impressed by what Rotary commits to the Town and to International Appeals. Finally Richard has stepped forward and it is hoped that others will follow his lead. His reason for joining “ I just want to start doing my bit for the town and to do so with Forfar Rotary.”

Richard knows that with a full time job and a young family his time is tight but feels commitment to supporting the aims and ideals of “service above self” is a well trodden path to the work of Rotary locally and worldwide. Members one and all congratulated Richard who will be a worthy member and look forward to his input and hope his brave step will encourage others to follow suit in finding time to give a helping hand where it is needed.
