Letter of Thanks

Dear Forfar Rotary Club

Blake has a rare genetic condition MECP 2 Duplcation Syndrome. There are 25 children in the UK with this condition so it’s very rare. Jenny found out when he was around 8 weeks old.  He is now aged 7 years and his mother Jenny has fund raised since he was 9 months old with various events such a “Blake and Gold”. She also has shops called Blake’s Bargains. She relies heavily  on others fundraising to help raise money for research as they believe the condition in reversible “reverse rett”. The research study has started but is costly and other families of children with this condition also fund raise. 

The Great British BLAKE off  was last Sunday at Forbes Of Kingennie - Hope for Blake is one of their charities of the year and it was to raise money for ongoing health needs for Blake as a lot of the fundraising money goes into research. His mum says she is going to put it towards buying a trailer for Blake or a new Buggy as he is growing and he has oxygen with him at all times so needs a specialised buggy.
