Santa thanks well wishers at the Dunnichen Stone

by Anne Graham - 09:09 on 18 December 2013

Santa paid a surprise visit to the new Dunnichen Stone pub restaurant at Orchardbank Forfar and thanked revellers for throwing their pennies and pounds in the Forfar Rotary Club wishing well.

Santa surprised everyone by flying in and pulling up his sleigh unexpectedly at the Dunnichen Stone to thank all the Xmas party goers for their generosity. He said “it’s wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves and giving generously to help this important charity”.

Dave Valentine, Convener of the Angus Rotary Marafun 2014 said “The Dunnichen Stone is the latest location for the Forfar Rotary wishing well which has raised hundreds of pounds already for local charities. The wishing well will stay in the venue until at least the 25th of May next year which is the date of next year’s Angus Rotary Marafun. In line with the aim of Marafun, all proceeds collected will be donated to the Ninewells Cancer Campaign and other local charities”.

The Dunnichen Stone is the official sponsor of the Marafun sports zone and is keen to raise as much as possible for the chosen charity. The staff and customers will be encouraging everyone to give generously to the Marafun 2014 appeal especially over the festive season.
