Salvation Army

Forfar Rotary has kept to its promise to spread the money raised from the Santa street visits by making a further donation. We think Forfarians would all support us in our decision to make a donation of £500 to the Forfar branch of the Salvation Army.

Major Jim McCluskey the Salvation Army's Community Chaplain for Forfar and who is also the President Elect of the Rotary Club of Forfar received the donation from President Bill Reid. He ensured the club and Forfarians that it would be put to good use given the demands for assistance on many levels in these times. The “Sally Army” does its work with no questions asked when a need for assistance is called for.

President Bill commented that having first hand knowledge from a Rotarian who is obviously aware of the funding needs of the Salvation Army made it an easy decision for the club to make the award knowing that the money would be wisely spent.
