Rising Youngstars ended their successful run of ‘A Little Princess’ on Saturday 25th of February.
Before the matinee they hosted the Rotary Club of Forfar when Jim Mc cluskey presented Rising Youngstars treasurer Karen with a cheque for £558 to aid with the cost of production.
Rising Youngstars is a wholly self funded group which brings professional musical theatre to the youth of Kirrimuir and Forfar. They produce at least one show a year and alternate their performances between Forfar and Kirrimuir. For this show there was a cast of 43 who have rehearsed twice a week for the last 6 months. Rising Youngstars is open to performers from the age of 5 to 17 who wish to explore the dramatic arts. They are always looking for help with rehearsal space, backstage, costumes, and technical services from both light and sound engineers and directors.
Rising Youngstars provides a much needed outlet for the creative energy of our young people and we at Forfar Rotary are very proud to be associated with this much loved group.
