Getting Behind Forfar Rotary

Forfar Rotary have the backing from other organisations in the town after they received a cheque from the club. The Santa collection from around the town when the sleigh called at almost every street in Forfar would not have been possible without the support of other organisations. From the contributions given by the citizens of Forfar the Rotary Club has given each group financial assistance to boost their own funds.

Cheques for £200 were handed over by President Scott Ballantyne to representatives from each organisation starting with Thea Jackson from Strathmore Rugby Club Sharks, Tom O'Brian of Glensview Community Group, Wendy Crighton of Four Seasons After School Club and Louise Whyte from Strathmore Primary Parents Council.

It was hoped that this self help initiative would encourage others to support the Rotary Club in their efforts to raise funds etc. in the community. Clubs and organisations are invited to participate in the Angus Marafun and again they can jointly gain for their efforts by entering in any of the events from Angus Marafun 2014 in May. Various opportunities are open to a range of age groups and full details are available on the club website www.forfarrotary.org.uk Entry Forms are downloadable form the website.
