Rotary Saves Santa's Visit.

For many years the Forfar Round Table had upheld the tradition of having Santa on his Sleigh for all the children to see and  doing a door to door collection. Sadly the Round Table in no longer able to undertake this role and rather than disappoint those with younger families, the Forfar Rotary Club have, at short notice taken up the project with the assistance of other local organisations
The first obstacle to overcome was that of an ageing sleigh in a state if disrepair. After its stint at the Cross, a broken axle was discovered and time was of the essence. Thankfully for Rotary, the firm of A. M. Phillps made a speedy repair and in the spirit of Christmas, waived the bill with their best wishes for a successful event. To make sure the axle remains intact we have put Santa on a strict diet  as it appears he may be carrying a bit of excess weight as his expanding waistline seems to confirm.
Parents are asked make sure they are aware of the routes to be taken during the next two week and the approximate times Santa will be in your area beginning at 6.00 pm each evening the following will apply :

Monday 5th December
Route :-  Benholm Gdns, Drummers Dell, Briar Grove, Sheriff Pk, Lochview Tce, Graham Cres, Grampian Pk, Glamis Road, Lowson Ave and Lowson Tce.

Tuesday 6th December
Route :- Lentlands Rd, Taranty Rd, LanglandsRd, Fruithill, Jeanfield Cres, Teuchat Croft, Old Halkerton Rd, Lintie Croft and Jeanfield Rd.

Wednesday 7th December
Route :- Potters Pk, Northampton, Balmashanner, Dundee Rd, Mavis Croft, Slatefield Rise, Slatefield Place, Slatefield Gdns, Westfield Loan, Westfield Gdns, Westfield Place, Kemsley Place and Donaldson Ave.

Thursday 8th December
Route :- Kemsley Pk, Thornton Place, Thornton Pk, Threewells Dr, Threewells Place, Westfield Pk, Westfield Dr and Westfield Cr.

Monday 12th December
