Forfar Rotary Club are gearing up for a couple of busy months and started this week with a visit from the new District Governor visiting the club.Accompanied with his wife Winnie, GD Iain Macdonald addressed the club along with a group of visiting Rotarians from Laurencekirk.
Already well into his year as DG he was most enthusiastic about his role and of the challenges that it brings. He was keen to try and banish the image of Rotarians being a businessmans lunch club but of a hard working club promoting "Service above Self". He also commented that the biggest concern for all Rotary Clubs was the need to recruit younger men and women which in its self would enhance and better communicate with the public what Rotary does in the local community and abroad.
Teams representing Forfar and Laurencekirk clubs then went on to compete in the Gavel Challenge, an annual competition competed for by most of the clubs in the district.
